Hyperpigmentation has three primary biochemical formation mechanisms — and most brightening serums address only one. Dark Spot System intervenes at all three simultaneously. Niacinamide 5% blocks the transport of melanosomes from melanocytes to keratinocytes. Tranexamic Acid 3% disrupts the plasmin-mediated communication pathway between keratinocytes and melanocytes. 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid 2% inhibits tyrosinase — the copper-containing enzyme that initiates melanin synthesis.
Single-pathway brightening creates a biochemical workaround: upstream mechanisms compensate for the blocked step by increasing pathway flux through alternative routes. Dark Spot System operates simultaneously upstream (Tranexamic Acid), midstream (3-O-EAA inhibits tyrosinase), and downstream (Niacinamide blocks melanosome transfer) — preventing compensatory rerouting for more complete, more durable depigmentation. The EZLite Phospholipid delivery system enhances penetration and bioavailability of all three actives.
